The pictures just don't do this place justice!
The best part? Sitting out on the screened in porch, listening to the palm leaves rustling in the wind, enjoying the comfortable Florida fall weather with the person I love the most! I foresee A LOT of time being spent outside - whether it's just me and my hubby or us and the kids. It was very nice! And if this weather continues, I would be able to keep the double sliding glass doors opened wide, and the screened in porch would just become another beautiful room added onto the house!
Once the kids woke up, I started all of our last minute packing and cleaning. We finally finished at 10:30 tonight. :( It was a really long day. Once Ian got home from work, he started packing our vehicles to make a trip to the house. We still had not received word from the realtor that it was fine for us to move in. All we knew was that we had to wait to move in until the home owners had faxed their signed copy of the lease back to the realtor and called the front gate to give them our information. But, because we had to be out of the old apartment at 9am tomorrow, we knew that we had to at least try to get into the new house to at least drop off a load of stuff to make things easier for us in the morning! So. We drove all the way out to Cape Coral, not knowing if they were going to let us through the gate of the community or not...thankfully, the homeowner had called minutes before we arrived and told the guard all of our information. We dropped everything off in the garage, went upstairs to eat our CFA dinner, and then went back to the old apartment. We left Cape Coral at 8pm. Ian decided that he wanted to just get everything done tonight and not even fool with anything in the morning. So our poor children stayed up 2 hours past their bedtime while we cleaned the apartment and packed the van with the rest of our belongings. Somehow, our stuff has multiplied exponentially since arriving in Florida. Ian arrived ahead of us with 2 large suitcases and 2 carry-ons -- whatever he took on the plane. I arrived a few days later with our van PACKED with the rest of our belongings. Somehow, this time, it took us 2 PACKED van loads and 1 PACKED car load to move from one apartment to another. I think it's time to downsize... I definitely need to figure out the kids' clothes situation. I think I want to consign a lot of their things. And I have some maternity clothes and some clothes that I've outgrown (YAY!!) that I need to store or sell. Things that make me say, "Hmm....."
Of course there would be CFA on your dining table :) Miss you terribly. Let me know if you get bored and want to make a trip up this way :) Kisses to the kids. Mason keeps asking for his Kman to come over!
