Grammy, Big Al and Elfants!

Hooray! Grammy and Big Al are here! We had so much fun today - we're all super exhausted, but it was definitely well worth it!

We heard about this airline that flies between regional airports. My parents flew on it today, and I just have to brag! Not only were their 2 roundtrip tickets (and 1 checked bag) less than $300, but they also arrived forty-five minutes before their posted arrival time! We made welcome signs last night with Cayman; I left thirty minutes before I had originally planned so that we could get there well before their arrival time and meet them at the baggage claim with our signs. I was going to take pictures and everything. Needless to say, since they arrived so early, they were waiting for us outside of the terminal. Actually, dad was standing out in the middle of the road-hands in pocket-typical Daddy stance, and mom was standing on the sidewalk-waving her arms wildly overhead-typical mom greeting. :) Oh yeah - and Dad was still wearing his jacket that he needed this morning in Greenville but definitely did not need in Florida! Cayman held up his signs as they opened the van doors and climbed inside! :)

We started for home, made a quick pitstop at the store to say hello to Ian, then made it to the house in time for lunch and a tour of the casa. After I made sure everyone was fed and happy, I headed off to go get our new wagon (since Ian broke the one our neighbors gave us. I'm not bitter anymore....haha!) I must admit - I was a bit nervous driving to this stranger's house to go check out this wagon. I had no idea what to expect. I tend to have a huge distrust of most strangers, so I wasn't really looking forward of going to this person's house, knocking on the door, wondering what I would do if they were to invite me inside, etc, etc... Of course, it was probably the easiest thing I've done in a while. I pulled up, the lady met me in her garage, and I even bartered a bit on the price (ok, not so much of a barter, but I paid less than asking price on Craigslist!)

After Ian got home, we all got ready to go to the circus! As soon as we pulled up and got out of the van, Cayman was so excited because he saw a huge elephant right outside the tent! He's a big fan of elfants! He wanted to ride pretty much every animal we saw, which included zebras, camels, ponies, tigers, etc. He did get to ride a pony for the first time. He had his serious/concentration/I'm loving this face on the whole time. We all really enjoyed the circus! We didn't really know what to think because it wasn't like any circus we've ever been to. The circus was in the middle of a vacant lot on the side of a busy road. We literally sat beneath the big top. It was fun though! Cayman talked all night long about the big "BOOM" that hurt his ears and the man that went "vey high!" (The big finale of the show was shooting a man out of the cannon.)
