Seriously. What. Is. The. Point.

WHY DO WE HAVE TO FALL BACK AND SKIP FORWARD?! As someone wrote on Facebook today, "Obviously the person who started that did not have children." I totally agree with whoever wrote that. Time change may be fantastic for some people, but it royally stinks for others. When Cayman was young, I never remember the time change altering his schedule at all. He was (and still is for the most part) a fantastic sleeper. Charis on the other hand...she has been waking up early in the morning. But on top of that, she has also been waking up every hour for 4-5 hours in the middle of the night. It's killing me! And I don't know if Charis is waking Cayman up or what, but Cayman has been waking up around 7, and then I'm assuming he goes back to sleep, but only until about 8. (He used to sleep until 9.) Ian and I just decided to move Charis to the den/office room in the house. That way there's some distance between her and Cayman.

I've decided what to do with the kids' clothes. I'm consigning them. I went to a consignment shop today to ask questions and look around at their stuff. #1. They're accepting any/all items. #2. They had some super cute things for Charis and a lot of riding toys to choose from for Cayman. We'll see how much money they give me for a Chick-fil-A fry box worth of clothes. (For all you non-Chick-fil-A-ians, that's basically just a good size square box...perfect for packing in case you ever need moving boxes!)

We ate dinner out on our porch tonight - it was so nice! The food was not. But the weather/temperature/atmosphere was great....minus a little screaming mimi. That was not fun, but we're trying to learn to just tune her out sometimes. Horrible. I know. But you've gotta do what you gotta do! Ian bought steaks when we went grocery shopping the other day. We don't have a grill here, and we're not sure if there's a public gas grill in the neighborhood. So I was just going to broil the steaks. But when I started searching for the broiler pan, there was not one anywhere in the kitchen. So. I had to search the internet for a way to cook steaks. I seared them in a skillet for a couple of minutes, then baked them in the oven. Ugh. Disgusting. They were probably the worst steaks I've ever put in my mouth. At least the Velveeta shells and cheese and green beans were tasty! Even Cayman asked for seconds of the sides!

After dinner, the kids took baths and then snuggled! Cayman said, "I hold her, Mommy. Right here," pointing to his lap.
