I started doing something today that I've never done before. I began rereading a book! Usually once I read a book, even ones I love, I'm not really interested in picking it up again. But I guess there's a first time for everything because a certain book has been plastered to my hand all day today! Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers (one of my most favorite fictional authors)! If you've never read it, PLEASE do me a favor and just start it. Maybe it's not your type of book, but please give it a try! Be careful though - it may just change your life! I'm thinking I'm going to have to find the library down here and borrow some more of her books...I've fallen in love all over! :)

We had a great family day today! Before naptime, my mom and I took the kids (in our new wagon) to the park in our neighborhood. We had a great time and being out in the sun really wore the kids out - they both took long naps this afternoon! After lunch, Ian played a round of golf with my daddy and brother. They had a great time, despite a group/herd/gaggle of blue heron that refused to get off their tee box one time...and despite the heat - it was 85+ degrees today for all you northerners! (Don't be jealous...)

Tonight Ian and I went out on a date with my brother and sister-in-law. I believe this was a first as well! I don't think the 4 of us have ever been out on a date before. Then they came back to our house so Allison could see the place and so that they could see Mom and Dad. Cayman turned into a wild man due to the visit. :) He loves showing off for company! He also likes to give people tours of our house. He always starts off showing them where he sleeps, and then he says, "Dat Charis' room" and points across the hallway. :)

Just so you know...I have pictures of our days...I will load them to the appropriate day soon. I have not neglected my picture-taking responsibilities for my daily blog. (I've just neglected the uploading process..........) I even embarrassed Ian and my brother and SIL at dinner tonight and made them pose for a picture in the middle of the restaurant. :)
