Things to Remember...

Some things happened today that I don't want to forget, so I thought the best way to remember them would be to blog about them!

  • Charis wore a 0-3 month onesie all day. (She will be 7 months old on 11/10.)

  • Charis tried peaches today and loved them!

  • I started telling Cayman about Thanksgiving today. I explained (as well as you can explain things to a 2 year old) the meaning of "thankful." I told him that I was thankful for Daddy, Cayman and Charis. He then told me that he was thankful for his BLOCKS.

  • Charis took a 3 hour nap today! 1.5 hours of her nap was during Cayman's nap! Hooray for mommy time! She woke up around 8, nursed, stayed awake for a while, went back to sleep for 30 minutes (mainly we went back to sleep to wait for Cayman to finally wake up.) After she woke up, I fed her a (large) bowl of oatmeal cereal mixed with a jar of baby food. She ate it all. Then she nursed again at 11:30, and I waited until 12:30 or so to lay her down for her nap! (Sorry, I know that's boring for most of you, but I wanted to remember what I did today so that maybe I can start that schedule...)

  • Boo got a bath today!

  • I made a YUMMY cinnamon streusel bread!

  • I've started searching for more clothes for Charis...despite the fact that she's wearing a 0-3 month onesie. She's outgrowing most of her clothes while still fitting in some older items. So I'm trying to figure out a budget friendly way of buying her some clothes... Sometimes I can get lucky and find brand new things at Old Navy for super cheap when they're trying to clear out their clearance section. Not sure if that will happen this time around!

  • Cayman was sitting on the floor today playing with his trucks, when all of a sudden he started singing "Happy Birthday to You" to his big green truck. In case you haven't seen it yet, we videotaped him the other night singing "Happy Birthday to You" and "You Are My Sunshine" and uploaded it to Facebook. It's pretty funny. I've watched it numerous times since recording it just because I like it so much!

  • I offered Cayman a bite of my pizza today, and he said, "No thank you." :)

  • As much as I'm enjoying this period of our lives, I will be thankful when I will be able to go 6 months without packing.
