We went to Aviation Day today - a FREE airshow in Fort Myers. The weather was gorgeous! We got there a little late (Charis hasn't been feeling too well the past couple of days, so I let her take her usual morning nap in her bed as opposed to a short one in the van) so we had a nice LOONNNG walk from the parking lot to the airport. Ian was working (at a CFA tent inside the airshow) so he wasn't there to help me get the double stroller, both kids and all of our belongings packed up onto the shuttle bus. So off we walked...and walked...and walked some more. That's ok. It was good exercise. And I am trying to fit into a cute bridesmaid's dress for a wedding I'll be in next September! :)
Anyways. Once we finally made it to the gate, my knight in shining armor was there to push our 100 lb stroller the rest of the way. Cayman had so much fun. All of his favorite things were there. Boo. Airplanes. CFA cows. Daddy. Bounce houses. Helicopters. He wanted to ride in the helicopter so bad! "Get a ticket, mama? I ride dat one, Mama." Thankfully, we discovered that "riding" was the same as sitting in it. So he did get to "ride" quite a few of the helicopters. Despite running a fever, Charis did fine too. She's definitely a people watcher like her mama!
