What a busy day!!! I need my beauty rest, so tonight's blog won't be a very long one. But here's the run down of our day!
1) Sanibel Island - we took Nana to Sanibel to show her the beautiful island during the daytime! And it definitely did not disappoint. It was so gorgeous. We walked along the beach, found beautiful shells, took lots of pictures, and watched Cayman chase the sea gulls. "GO!" he would say to the seagull as he approached it on the beach. We had a yummy seafood lunch before leaving the island at a restaurant in the marina called "Gramma Dot's." I loved it because of the name (my grandmother that I loved very dearly was called "Grannie Dot" - I love little reminders of her!) We walked around the marina for a few minutes admiring our favorite yachts (some were massive and gorgeous!)
2) Fancy dinner - Ian took me to a fancy dinner to a restaurant called Mira Mare in Naples. Naples is a super ritzy area in Florida. I had never been before, and it was definitely gorgeous! The restaurant was right on the water. All of the seating was outdoors, so we were able to sit and view the water and starry night. It was great. We had some yummy Italian food (but some thoroughly over-priced caesar salads!) :) Ian totally kept everything a surprise for me. I had no idea about dinner or the restaurant or anything! At the beginning of dinner, he asked our waiter if we had enough time to make it somewhere by 8. I looked at him like "what else do you have up your sleeve Mr. Moody?" Imagine my shock when we drove up to the Philharmonic Center for Arts featuring...
3) Cirque Dreams Illuminations!!! I have always wanted to go see a Cirque show, and I was definitely not disappointed tonight. I sat there (in our amazing seats, mind you) utterly amazed at their stunts! It was fantastic. Such a great evening! I love being surprised, and Ian got me good tonight! We had such a fun evening celebrating our marriage! I can't wait to see what the next 5 years (and all the rest, of course) have in store for us!
