Cayman walked the entire time. The double stroller was a bit cumbersome the last trip, so I decided to just take the single stroller for Charis. I was proud of my little buddy! We walked all over the park, and he stayed right with us and never once complained. We found a fishing pier (no fish..kayakers!...but no fish.) We had to walk down a boardwalk through a group of mangrove trees growing in the water. At the beginning of the fishing pier was a sign that said, "Please do not feed the alligators." And then right below the sign on the ground was a (fake) alligator with its mouth opened wide! I think it seemed a little too realistic to Bonnie for a brief second. And as I tried to get Cayman to come over and take a picture with it, pet it, "feed" it, etc, he said, "Dat scary, mama" or "Dat scared me, mama" (kind of hard to decipher those two phrases right now.) But eventually, once I assured him it was fake, he came over and rode it (sat on its back) and fed the gator shells, acorns, and leaves. :) He got to play on the playground before we left, and then we headed to see Daddy at his store. It was a busy morning, and Cayman took a nice long nap after all of his exercise today!
I went on a girls' night out tonight with the other IMs' wives. It was great having a night to connect with them and share life, once again! I just can't say enough how nice it is to have someone that understands all that we're going through in this process. They understand it because they're living it as well! I can't wait to see the plans that the Lord has for all three of our families, where we'll end up, how our paths will cross again in our Chick-fil-A futures, etc.
While I was gone, Ian, Nana, Cayman and Charis went out for supper (Five Guys) and then they took a trip to Petsmart! Cayman and Charis loved watching/listening to the birds!

[/caption]My camera was card-less this morning at the park, so Nana took plenty of pictures for my blog! But then when she tried to load them on our computer, she realized we don't have a card reader in our computer and she didn't bring the USB cord. So no pictures from our day at the park. But my sweet hubby made sure to take some pictures for me of the kids at the pet store! :)
