Gorgeous Florida Weather

We had such a wonderful day today - most of it was spent outdoors!

Before we could leave this morning, Cayman tried to put a hat on Charis.

The "hat" slid down over her tiny head, and it actually worked well as a bib! She spit up while wearing it, and it caught all the spit up and kept it from getting on her clothes. Cayman likes to wear these floor tiles on his head, and he uses the borders (little strips that go around the edge) as drum sticks. Have I mentioned the child has quite the imagination?

We headed out this morning (I wore shorts, short sleeves, and flip flops......and was quite warm at times!) to go to the Manatee Park. Ian, the kids, and I had so much fun our very first trip to this park that we wanted to share it with everyone. And I keep hoping that each time we go back, we'll see the manatees up close like we did the first time. But so far, that hasn't happened. :( So I've been a little embarrassed each time we take someone to see this Florida attraction. We got to see some manatees today, thankfully, and we also saw some HUGE fish. Like, 4-5 feet long tarpon, maybe? And we also saw a lot of crabs and quite a few egrets. Cayman got to see his alligator up close and personal too!

We loved walking around the park in the beautiful sunshine. Cayman walked the whole time again, and he did so great!

He got to play on the playground, and while he played, Charis got to eat!

Charis was loving her Club Crackers - I have no idea why her face says otherwise.

Saying goodbye to his manatee friend.

After a delicious dinner this evening (beef brisket slow cooked in the crock pot), and after the kids were in bed, we decided to play this game called Quelf. If you've never heard of it, or are looking for a neat gift idea or fun family game, I highly recommend it! It's a little crazy, a lot of fun, and will make you pee in your pants. At one point in the game, someone was playing peekaboo with anyone that talked to them, someone had to talk like a pirate, someone had to give themself a wedgie (and stay like that the remainder of the game), and someone had to fall to the floor and scream some silly line everytime an opponent passed their game piece on the board. I'm telling you - it was crazy. I think you definitely have to play it late at night when you're already feeling a little crazy and giggly. :) What a memorable night!
