The other major aspect of our day was... drumroll please... CAYMAN POOPED ON THE POTTY! I won't go into detail, but I was shocked at the amount of poo I saw in his potty when he stood up! I seriously stood there and stared, then laughed. Then I laughed EXTREMELY HARD when Cayman asked, "Dat hippo, mommy?" pointing at his poop. Yes. It was that big. Hilarious. I took a picture to send to Ian. Then I sent it to my mom just to gross her out. Apparently I'm weird for taking a picture of his poop. Potty humor is funny people! The hippo part of the story wouldn't have been nearly as funny if Ian and my mom couldn't have seen the size of the poo anyways. So there. My explanation for the picture. End. Of. Story. :)
While I know we're inching our way closer to complete potty training, I know we're still days away because Cayman has never told me he has to pee. So I don't think he realizes he's going. Which leads me to believe we need to let him go in undies for a while so he can see what it really feels like. But I DON'T WANT TO. I dealt with potty training when I was a daycare teacher. IT STINKS (pardon the pun.) I don't agree with pull-ups, because I think they are glorified diapers. If you're gonna potty train, go for it. Straight to undies. Which is why I'm waiting for a few more signs that Cayman is truly ready for full-fledge potty training!
I'm sorry for all the yucky posts recently. I mean, who really wants to hear about my son's potty habits!?! So if you're still reading this... I salute you, faithful follower! :)
