Surprise, Paw Paw!

[slideshow]

This has been one of the busiest trips of my life! But sooo worth it! We have had a blast visiting friends and family over the past week. I'm sorry to see our trip end, but I am looking forward to going back to our "home for now."

Today we had a great time surprising Paw Paw - he was expecting clients and instead we showed up in his driveway! He was shocked and thrilled to see us...then sad when he remembered he had clients coming over this morning...until Mimi told him that we were his clients and that she had been lying to him so that we could surprise him. Classic moment!

After wrestling in the living room and flying all around the house, of course we had to make our way out to their studio for a somewhat impromptu photo session. We knew we'd take pictures of Charis today since she's sitting up. They take some awesome photos of little girls all dressed up in tutu's and pearls! Wait til you see Charis! I can't wait to post some of the pictures (when they send them to me!) What was impromptu about the photo session was how Cayman wanted to just dance around the studio the whole time. They play music to calm down kids and just make it a fun atmosphere - well Cayman was having a ball...showing off all his crazy dance moves! Unfortunately he dances like me. Poor fellow.

After nap, we decided to go out to a pumpkin patch! By far the best pumpkin patch I've been to...ever! It's free, first of all. You obviously have to pay for the pumpkins. But they have an 8 acre pumpkin patch, and Cayman had a blast pushing the little red wagon all around the pumpkin patch hunting for the perfect pumpkins for Mimi's front porch. At first he enjoyed riding, then when we actually started looking, he got out and walked the whole time. He LOVED looking at the horses (well, maybe they were donkeys, but he didn't know the difference!) And he saw chickens and pigs. He even got to bounce in a bounce house! But his absolute favorite part was finding pumpkins. He'd walk over to a pumpkin that he liked for whatever reason, bend down to pick it up (of course it was twice the size of his head), and then he'd say, "dat too big." Then he'd find one that was smashed or missing its stem, and he'd say, "dat one broken." It was hilarious. He had so much fun!! What a fun age we've reached! (Challenging at times, but VERY fun!)

We were sad to tell Mimi and Paw Paw goodbye, just as it was telling Nana goodbye this morning! But hopefully we will see them all again very soon!

Sorry there are no pictures again. I am exhausted and it takes forever to upload pictures to my blog for some reason. Oh, maybe because I try to upload 30 at a time! :)
