Cayman the Copycat

My son is a copycat....through and through. He loves to mimic people. But not immediately. He'll wait an hour or a day or even a month. Eventually you will see him doing something that you've done before. It's like he spends a little while processing what he's seen you do. He is growing up so fast I can hardly stand it! Here are some pictures of how I caught Cayman copying us today.

Cayman was coloring with his Color Wonder markers, and the next thing I knew, he had pushed them all together. Then he put one end in his mouth and started moving his fingers like he was playing a trumpet. Too funny!

I was in the bathroom getting ready to go to Moe's for dinner when Cayman walked in and started getting ready too! First he asked for Ian's electric razor and shaved his face. Then he asked for the hair dryer so he could fix his hair. (I put some gel in it to try to spike it up, but he doesn't have
enough hair right now! It's so short!)

This picture is not him necessarily being a copycat as it is him just being doggone adorable! I was in Cayman's bedroom talking to Ian on the phone as he drove home. Cayman overheard us talking about how close he was to the house. Cayman runs out of the bedroom and I hear a door open and close. I rush out into the living room because I thought he went out the front door. As I'm rounding the corner, Cayman is coming in from the lanai carrying his canvas chair. He marches straight to Charis' bedroom (which faces the parking lot), sets his chair up right in front of the window, and says "Open, please!" So I opened the blinds, and he sat there for 10 minutes or so waiting on Ian to get home from work! It was so cute.

Charis tried carrots for the first time today! I fixed them for her "breakfast" this morning. She took maybe five bites before vomiting everywhere! Needless to say, we were all done with breakfast after that. But later on when we tried them again, she really liked them! She likes eating her baby food!
