6 Months Old!

Today my sweet baby girl turned 6 months old. I can hardly believe she arrived in our world 6 months and 20 minutes ago. Things have changed drastically since then!

My sweet Charis - you are such a fun baby! You are happy, content, and petite. You LOVE and adore your big brother. Your face lights up each time he comes around to talk to you or play with you. You can sit by yourself, but you still topple over sometimes. You are able to roll over, but you rarely do. You instead choose to crane your neck at odd angles to see whatever catches your attention. You love playing in the bathtub, especially with this star toy that lights up and shoots water into the air. You enjoy playing in your exersaucer, especially when Cayman comes and plays with toys that surround you. You sleep through the night, but in the past couple of weeks, you have been waking up to nurse and then sometimes going back to sleep for a little while around 7ish. You started eating rice and oatmeal cereal after your 4 month check-up because your weight was still a little low. Currently you have tried sweet peas, green beans, winter squash, and sweet potatoes. You loved sweet peas the very first time. You weren't too sure about green beans or squash the first time around, but now you seem to enjoy anything that crosses your lips! You're still taking medicine for reflux, and the medicine along with the food seems to help with your spitting up. Everyone says you are the spitting image of your father -- you look nothing like me! But we still think you are adorable, especially when you grin. (Hehe! :)) You have no teeth yet, but I keep telling myself that I'm going to see one any day now! You drool constantly, and you like gnawing on your fingers. We are so thankful to have you in our lives. You brighten our day and make us smile. We look forward to seeing all that the Lord has in store for your life. We pray that you will know and experience your Father's love for you at an early age and that you will be an example of purity in a world that so desperately needs one. We love you, Cariboo! We cannot wait to watch you grow and change in the next six months!
