Gorgeous weather!

It's Wednesday - that means Moms 'N Tots day! Today was our last time going to Laishley Park (the place with the fountains). Well, I should I say, I think today was our last time going to PLAY in the fountains. Thankfully they had the fountains turned off the first part of the morning or else my water-loving son would have froze to death! I wished that I would have dressed both of them in an extra layer of clothes this morning! Even though it was 74 out, the wind was blowing and we were right on the harbor, so it was A TINY bit cool! I knew I was from NC when I drove up and saw two different kids running around in pants and long-sleeved shirts! We had a wonderful time this morning. It's easy to stay outside for a couple of hours when the weather is that fantastic. Cayman had fun running around playing with everyone else's toys (note to self: take more toys next time!)

Charis sat in her bumbo and watched the crowd and giggled at cute little Judah! We really had a great morning.

But then. I just had to go and ruin a great morning! I decided to attempt an additional trip on top of a busy morning. Ian needed me to bring him something at the store. So after we left the park, we headed to the mall. I could have just called Ian to come out to the van to get the box. Did I do that? Of course not! My children had been so great at the park that I just knew they'd be great in the mall! Silly mama. I got to eat my fries. Cayman took one bite of chicken. Skipped his fries altogether (SHOCKER). A nice (stranger) dad let Cayman ride carousel and helicopter with his son while I sat with Charis and quickly ate my fries. Then we were outta there. Charis was screaming. Cayman was mad. I was hungry. Time to go!

When we got home, Cayman went right to bed - he was worn out. Unfortunately though, he woke up 2 hours later (because he had hardly eaten anything for lunch!) Charis on the other hand was cranky, sleepy, but unable to take a full nap. Poor thing. She has got to have a tooth coming in! She was a little constipated today, and it was oh, so pitiful! I felt so bad for her! We may be introducing prunes tomorrow!

Soon after Ian got home, we left for small group. Cayman had a great time. Charis - not so much...obviously...if I couldn't poo, I wouldn't be too thrilled either! We missed the majority of the video we watch during our small group time because we were trying to tend to her and keep her quiet. I felt like I was in school again, after the video session when we were discussing the video, and I had been talking during the teacher's lesson and could not answer any of the questions when she called on me! Embarrassing! They understood though...after all, they'd been listening to Charis cry the whole time too!

I did realize tonight while we were talking about stuff after the video that I haven't been doing enough to take care of myself. I spend, basically, no time alone. Well, I do. But I have to stay up until 12:30 every night to do so. After much encouragement from the other sweet ladies in my group and my amazing hubs, I am vowing to get out of the house more often...alone. And not to go grocery shopping or run to Target for a diaper run. I am going to go do something for me! I think it will be hard for me because I feel bad leaving Ian when he gets home from work -- I mean, that's the only time we get together. And, I also feel a little guilty leaving him to take care of the kids when he's been at work for 9-10 hours and comes home exhausted. But. It's important for me to take that time away from the fam...so that I have the chance to miss them. And so that I'm rejuvenated for round 2!

Oh yeah. I almost forgot. I believe I'm going to switch blog sites again. I know. Tragic. But I'm just not too thrilled with wordpress -- especially because I cannot upload a video to my blog. Soo...another change coming soon! I will let you know this time though!
