Friends Forever!

We went to church this morning at Leesville Road. It was great to see so many friends from our old church. We haven't seen them in a long time! Most of them haven't ever seen Charis in person (just in pictures). And Cayman was under a year old when we left the church. We hated having to choose between Leesville Road Baptist Church and North Ridge Church! There definitely were a lot of people we would have loved to see at North Ridge also. But this trip we decided to go "old school."

After church we went out to eat before heading over to Kyle and Jenn's. While we were there, Cayman kept himself occupied with a ketchup bottle, his Bob the Builder cup, and a menu/advertisement flip card thing (I have no idea what you call it obviously...) He ate "pizza"...it was actually Ian's burrito.

After lunch we went to Kyle and Jennifer's house. We had a blast! There were 5 kids (and all of their belongings and parents) in K and J's house! At one point, I THINK all 5 kids were sleeping at the same time in separate rooms of the house. Charis slept the least -- she just couldn't seem to get happy yesterday! We also tried to take as many pictures as possible. At one point, we had all 5 kids lined up on the sofa, and I think there were 4 of us all taking pictures at the same time. Because of all those flashes going off, I think I got one good picture out of about 20...literally...all taken within 3-5 minutes -- the attention span of 5 children ranging in age from 1.5 weeks to 26 months!

We all had fun carving pumpkins (or watching pumpkins being carved), talking, holding babies, loving on the rest, talking, laughing, sharing stories....it was a wonderful day! I love taking pictures of these kids together because I know one day when we're all old, and the kids are all grown, we will remember these days very fondly!

When we left Kyle and Jenn's, we drove straight to the MacDonald's house. (MacDonalds = Nate's parents, Megan's in-laws....Nate and Megan = our kind host/hostess for our trip!) We know them from North Ridge Church. We were very glad we got a chance to see them this trip back to Raleigh because they are such a special, loving family! We enjoy seeing them -- they treat you like some of their own kids!

THEN as soon as we left the MacDonald's house, we went to Bojangle's and met Stephanie and Raven -- two of Ian's coworkers from Chick-fil-A at Capital Crossings...one of the stores here in Raleigh. It was great catching up with them!

We have missed our friends here in Raleigh! Even though it was a full, busy day, it was well worth it! We love keeping up with everyone!
