[/caption]My sweet, sweet friend, Jennifer has now been in the hospital for 25 hours waiting to give birth to their precious baby girl, Sadie. We ichatted with them last night soon after they got settled in their room. I think we talked to them around 10 or so. She is FINALLY pushing as I type. It's taken her awhile to progress. I am hoping that while I type my blog tonight I will be able to update you about Sadie's birth!

[/caption]Today was an extremely busy day. I wish I could let you know all the details of my day. But I can't. Not yet. Just know that I was very, very busy! (Are you curious yet?) Needless to say, I'm tired. BUT. As my sister-in-law and I talked about tonight, we're both glad that we're not in the hospital giving birth to our firstborn tonight! I'm tired, but I'm not as tired as I was after giving birth to Cayman. That's for sure.
We went out with some of the couples from our church tonight. The Hitched group (basically the young married couples at the church) planned a date night. They set up childcare and everything! Unfortunately one of the ladies that was going to be babysitting tonight was unable to which left one woman and one teenager in charge of watching a large group of kids. I felt a little sorry for them, so I made other arrangements for Cayman and Charis at pretty much the last minute. I called sweet Tricia, and even though she already had plans for the evening, she rearranged her schedule to hang out with the kids too! Her 3 girls had AWANAS tonight, so while they were at church, Tricia and her mother-in-law took our kids to the park. She said Cayman kept them on their toes. He had to try out each piece of equipment at the large playground by the harbor! Then Tricia took Cayman and Charis to their church to go pick up her three girls. They were having a fall festival type thing, and so Cayman got to play games and get candy (which they INSISTED Cayman had to bring home tonight!) Tricia said he was a little overwhelmed when they first walked in because there were tons of kids running everywhere. He is so much like me sometimes. A little unsure, quiet, observant when you first get to a large event. But slowly we warm up and start participating. Which is what he did tonight. I think he played basketball all night.
While they were having fun playing games, Ian and I were having fun doing the same thing! We went to this park right on the beach. Everybody took dinner to eat at the picnic tables (except for me and Ian...we didn't have time to pick something up before we got there) and then some of us - well all the non-pregnant people - went to play beach volleyball! It was so much fun, playing volleyball, sitting around chatting, not running around chasing kids everywhere or being forced to push a swing over and over and over. It was really a fun evening! I think we should plan something like that once a week. :)
When we left, we called and checked in with Tricia and the kids. They were still playing games at the church, so Ian and I had a nice, quiet, romantic dinner. At McDonald's. Oh yes. That's right. I said it. We, Chick-fil-A enthusiasts and raving fans, ate dinner at one of our major competitor's restaurants.

[/caption]And to top it off, I committed the gravest act of treason to Chick-fil-A. I ate McDonald's chicken nuggets! *G-A-S-P!* I would love to say that they were horrible. Tasteless. Disgusting. But. I can't. I like McDonald's chicken nuggets. There. I said it. The cat's out of the bag. I feel as though a heavy weight has been lifted from my shoulders. Ok. I may be exaggerating a little bit - no weights here tonight.

[/caption](Can you tell I'm stalling and blabbering on because I want to be blogging when Jenn gives birth?! Poor lady. She's got to be exhausted!! I'm giving up to wait on the phone call.)
