The title of this blog refers to the atrocity Ian and I ate...or tried to eat tonight for supper. And no. I was not the chef! We went to a little hole in the wall Chinese restaurant in downtown Fort Myers tonight for our final date for a while. Of course I was the one who chose it, and it turned out...well...horribly! We should have walked out when we sat down and saw the decor and prices. I guess I just thought we were discovering a "gem" in downtown Fort Myers. Too bad we discovered a piece of dung! :) Ok. That might be a bit rude (fitting, but rude.) Ian's sesame seed chicken was literally inedible. It was awful. And when we talked to the manager about it, she insisted we order something else off the menu instead of her just taking the meal off altogether. And because he's in the restaurant business, Ian is unable to make a scene in a restaurant, no matter how badly he's been served. Despite the horrible meal, we still enjoyed our evening. Great Chick-fil-A discussion during our dinner, a wonderful walk through a beautifully decorated downtown area, and cool weather as a cherry on top! And we still made it home before bedtime...just in time to see how sweet our little boy is. He took very special care of all of us; he very carefully covered each of us with a blanket to make sure we were all warm while watching Survivor. Isn't he sweet? And then during our prayer time tonight before bed, I was having him repeat the words after me. It went something like this:
Alyson: "Dear Jesus..."
Cayman: "Jesus..."
Alyson: "...Thank you..."
Cayman: "...Thank you..."
Alyson: "...for..."
Cayman: "...five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten!" (followed by a lot of giggles!)
He and I laughed so hard after that! He's got quite a sense of humor, that boy. I wonder where he gets that from!?

[/caption]Before the big date tonight, mom and I decided to go out for a little girls' time today. So once Ian got home from work, we met Gail at this cute little coffee shop that Ian had heard about. The shop is well-known for their homemade donuts. I despise coffee, so I ordered the tartest frozen lemonade I've ever had in my life! My mom ordered a baked goodie for her and I to split. Oh. My. Goodness. It was the most delicious sweet treat I have ever had. Seriously - it was amazing. And...being the awesome wife that I am, I walked right out of that coffee shop without a donut for my donut-loving hubby. That's ok. That just means he has to take me down there in the near future! Woohoo! Anyways - we had a fun girls' afternoon out. I'm sad she's leaving already (well, tomorrow is her last full day with us). But I know she's ready to be reunited with my daddy...and get back to her normal everyday cleaning routine! :) (Only kidding, mama...) She's so great! I love my sweet mama!
