Aren't they so stinkin' adorable together? They sure do love one another!
Ian has been gone since 5:30am - he probably won't get home until after 11 tonight. But don't feel sorry for him. He's not working. He's out playing! (Good for him!) He went to Islands of Adventure in Orlando today with our old Chick-fil-A crowd. I'm glad he got to go, but I wish I could have gone too! I'm not a fan of roller coasters (not the ones that do flips - they make me sick...literally...), but I do love theme parks, and I do love the group of people he went with! I had an extra ticket and we tossed around the idea of taking the kids or finding a sitter for the day. But in the end, we figured it would be easier on everyone if the kids and I just sat this one out! We're going to Orlando this summer for our family vacation (with my parents, my brothers and their families), so I will have another chance to go again! I really am glad Ian got to go though - he deserved it! He's been working hard since he changed stores, so I'm glad he got a chance to do something fun and different! (Too bad he'll be exhausted when he finally gets home!)
We went to the grocery store today, and Cayman was quite a little character. He is so outgoing in grocery stores! He says hello to anyone who will listen -- and even to some who don't listen. Most people can't resist saying hello to his cute friendly little face. If he realizes they're sticking around for a little conversation, he brings out his famous conversation starter: "I 2!" (while holding up his two chubby little fingers.) I need to start teaching him other things about himself so that he can have an additional conversation starter.
We've got a busy month ahead of us! The Santa Cow will be making an appearance at the store...you better believe we'll be there! We prefer Christmas pictures with Santa Cow than with Santa -- for obvious reasons! :) Let's see... We also have a Christmas party planned with the store, a Christmas dinner here at our house for the managers of the store, we're trying to plan a Christmas caroling/Santa Cow appearance at the children's wing of a local hospital, not to mention making all the Christmas goodies I'd like to as gifts for our neighbors and the store employees. We've also decided that we're going to take Cayman to see the new Yogi Bear movie that's coming out this month. I'm really glad we're going to be busy. As much as I'm looking forward to our first hassle-free Christmas all on our own, it will be very hard not seeing our families and participating in the usual Christmas activities and traditions. I feel like our busy-ness will help keep our minds off the fact that we're so far away from our families. So bring on the Christmas rush!
