I was sitting with Cayman on the couch today watching cartoons, and he reached over to hold my hand....the intimate way (interlocked fingers). I almost cried.

While we were eating lunch, Cayman looked over and saw our Christmas tree standing in the corner. He went on to tell me his memory (in English and Caymanese) of the tree lighting event we went to not long ago...watching the "boom" (fireworks); "it be loud!"; "daddy holding me" (Ian held Cayman so he could see the tree, fireworks, etc.); "it scared me!"  I was shocked and surprised that looking at our Christmas tree sparked his memory AND that he was able to reminisce with me!

Just for the record...stainless steel appliances and granite countertops are gorgeous. But oh so impractical. Cleaning those things (at least when you're not the one that paid for them) is so confusing! I'm so scared I'm going to damage them somehow! I'm trying to follow the homeowner's rules, but I have no idea if I'm doing it correctly. Oh well. I guess I could always blame something on an earlier tenant... haha. Only kidding of course people.
