Bye bye Grammy! :*(

We got home not long ago from dropping Grammy off at the airport. Cayman kept asking us where we going (he probably thought we were going bowling again). When we told him we were taking Grammy to the airport so she could fly home to Big Al, he kept saying, "Nu-uh. No, mommy. Nu-uh!" When Grammy opened his door to give him a kiss goodbye, Cayman gave her the famous courteous cry. That's what I like to call it. A pitiful sounding really fake cry. He cries to make you feel good - like he is absolutely heartbroken that you're leaving. He made 2 little whiney noises as we drove off, probably until he realized Grammy couldn't hear him any longer! But. While his cry may have been artificial, he definitely is missing his Grammy.

As soon as we drove in the garage, Cayman asked, "Where Grammy go?" Then once we had gotten upstairs, he waited for Grammy at the top of the stairs until I reminded him she was on her airplane. A few minutes later, we heard the landscapers outside and he said, "Grammy coming! Grammy coming!" "No buddy, remember Grammy is flying on her airplane home to Big Al." "Oh oh oh oh oh. Ok."

I had my camera ready to get a picture of Cayman's pitiful screaming bloody murder cry when we arrived at the airport to drop mama off. I had already planned my blog and everything. But since he only gave the courteous cry today, I decided it wasn't really worth the picture! :)

Tonight we went to CFA because they were sponsoring a Spirit Night for a local middle school. (Spirit nights are special events where students, parents, and teachers can eat at Chick-fil-A, mention their school, and a portion of the night's profits are returned back to the school.) Tonight's Spirit Night was special though because the school's jazz ensemble played a concert outside in the parking lot right outside the store. Cayman and Charis had so much fun listening to the music...they were both bouncing/dancing away! I think the audience was torn between watching Cayman dancing in the parking lot and watching the band as they played. It was so fun. (I'll post the video on Facebook since Wordpress won't let me post videos on here! Boo!)
