What a Good Daddy!

Ian took the day off today, and we had so much fun! We all slept in (well, Cayman was up at 8:30, but he sat in bed with us and watched TV while we slept a little longer...Charis woke up around 9:30), and after breakfast, we all decorated our Christmas tree! I thought we were going to decorate it last night, but instead we went out looking at lights around town for inspiration! ;) Cayman absolutely LOVES looking at Christmas lights...unfortunately he thinks he's going to see fireworks every time we see lights because the first night we did that, someone shot off fireworks!

Our Christmas tree looks beautiful! Except for not having a topper, you would never know we only spent $7 on ornaments! It's fantastic...and fragrant! I tried to take pictures tonight, but they didn't turn out, so I will take some more tomorrow when it's a little brighter!

Tonight, the family split up for a while and went separate ways! I went out with Amie (the IM's wife from Port Charlotte). We went to the Miromar Outlets to finish our Christmas shopping and grabbed some dinner together. It was such a great night! It was awesome to be able to talk to another IM wife about our current situations because we know exactly what the other is feeling and going through! I was gone for about 4 1/2 hours! And while I missed my sweet family, it was great having a girls' night out!

Ian had fun with the kids while I was gone - they were busy! When both kids woke up from naps, Ian said he fed them, changed them, and they all got packed up in the car to go Christmas shopping also! :) We are officially done Christmas shopping. But I must admit, I'm a little sad! I love buying gifts for other people, and I wish money were not an issue because I would love to buy a little something for all of our friends and family. I love making people feel special by giving them a little gift. And figuring out WHAT to give someone is just as fun! I already can't wait until next Christmas! (I wonder where we'll be next Christmas season! It's so hard to believe that last year this time, we were a family of 3, temporary living in Evansville, Indiana! Who knows what changes will have taken place by then! I can't wait to find out!)
