Running Errands

Cayman started running a low grade fever this morning, and the fever coupled with his lack of sleep this week knocked him out! He was so tired and lethargic this morning. We had to make a trip out to Target for formula. And my child that will hardly ever sleep in the van (unless we're on a long trip) fell asleep on the way to Target...a seven minute drive. After we left Target, I decided to drop by McDonald's and get him a smoothie so he could get something in his belly. His appetite has been horrible this week. Needless to say, he was a fan!

He and Charis both took good naps this afternoon - the first time for Cayman this week. (Ok, I'll admit - I took a nap too!) He was a little more "with it" when he woke up this afternoon. He sat at the table and tried to eat supper. He ate a handful of butter beans, but he didn't eat any of the chicken and rice.

After supper we had to run out for a couple of other errands. We went to Old Navy to check out the clearance section for the kids' summer clothes. I've been squeezing Cayman into some 18-24 month shorts...needless to say they're a little tight. I found Charis some outfits (they have a mix and match deal right now that beats Target's mix and match deal!) but they only had shirts for Cayman. So I will get the rest of their summer stuff at the consignment shop.

While we were at Old Navy, Ian found a pair of shoes that matched one of Cayman's shirts perfectly. They were so cute. The shirt was red striped, and the shoes were a red plaid pattern. Ian said, "Cayman, come here, let's try these shoes on." Cayman said, "No dad! No I don't wear those shoes. Those Charis' shoes!" He absolutely refused to try them on. I guess they were a little too feminine for him...because they were red plaid. So it starts...
