Ian borrowed a projector from someone at his store so we could do trial runs at home to make sure we had all our ducks in a row before taking the presentation to the meetings with the other operators. Earlier today, I thought about how much fun it would be for Cayman if we were to set up the projector outside and let him watch a movie out there. We talked about it again at supper, and I told Ian I could see his wheels turning! (Cayman said, "Daddy, you got wheels?" That child does not miss a thing!) It was a little chilly today, so setting it up outside wasn't going to work that well - plus we don't have extension cords and all that jazzy stuff! But... Ian came up with an even better idea!
We pulled our hurricane shutters [by the way - did you have any idea that Florida has "hurricane days" like North Carolina and Georgia have "snow days"? That was a strange fact to hear!] closed on our screened in porch, attached a light colored sheet to the top of them using chip clips, and set up the projector on our table outside. Then we moved the couch in front of the sliding glass doors, closed the doors so we wouldn't be cold, and sat on the front row of our very own movie theater! (Of course, we HAD to have popcorn... Cayman LOVES popcorn - just like his mama!) We let Cayman watch the end of Toy Story 3 - maybe about 20 minutes or so. And then after the kids went to bed, Ian and I went on a little date and watched "Facing the Giants." Unfortunately, something happened when we switched movies and ours was really blurry. So we ended up watching it on TV instead. It was still a lot of fun though! Also unfortunately, it makes Ian want to buy a projector -- I mean seriously, how often would we really use a projector?! :)

[/caption]Ok. I'll admit. I cried like a baby the whole way through the movie. It happens EVERY time. I am not joking - "Facing the Giants" is such a fantastic, inspiring movie! I can't wait for their new movie to come out - I think it's called "Courageous."
Hey Charis!!! the "boys" look so serious!
