Last night we took Cayman to a baseball game. It was just the three of us - Charis stayed with some friends. I think it was the first time Cayman has been alone with us for an extended period of time since Charis joined our little family. We had a great time, and Cayman loved clapping his hands, listening to the foul balls "break car windows" (they played the sound of a car window breaking anytime a foul ball left the stadium...Cayman said our van had a "boo boo" each time.) He also liked watching the balls go "vewy high!" We had amazing seats too, thanks to Ed (operator in Port Charlotte) - 5 rows behind home plate! Too bad we weren't fans of either team (NY Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays) because we were definitely close enough to see their facial features!

Ian and I have decided that it's time for Cayman to start getting alone time with each one of us. We think he's reached the age where he knows he's not getting one on one attention from us. And because of that he sometimes tries to get negative attention. So to counteract that behavior, we're going to take turns each week taking him out of the house to show him some special attention. This week we had the opportunity to BOTH take him out for special attention. But next week Ian or I will take him to the playground or on a walk or to the pool...something that he enjoys doing. Hopefully these dates, along with some discipline at home, will nip his bad behavior in the bud!
