Ladies' Night +1

Just to start this post off with a bit of truth...I did not sleep until 10am. I slept until 9:30 this morning which just happened to be the same time both of my kids woke up! So there was no injustice done...my mother did not have to wake up with the kids while I snoozed away. (Can you tell I've felt a little guilty about this before?!)

We headed out this morning to see some work that my talented daddy has been doing at a couple's house. He has added on a sunroom to a house, and it looks absolutely fabulous! I don't know how he does it - but he is one talented man! If you live in the Augusta area and need some home improvement jobs done, he is THE man to call. Cayman was in heaven because the home owners had their 2 granddaughters over who had pulled every toy imaginable out in the playroom/den. Cayman walked right into this stranger's house and went straight to the playroom and started playing with toys...as if he goes over there everyday. Too funny. And then there's Charis who cried when we put her down on the floor to explore. Those two are complete opposites sometimes!

They were still exhausted after yesterday and each took 3.5 hour naps this afternoon. I did a grocery store run while they napped. When they woke up, we went outside. Cayman and I picked up pinecones and located dog poop for Big Al to scoop up with his poop scoop. We successfully avoided every pile but one. (It was dried...no big mess, thankfully.) Cayman also got to drive the riding lawnmower and ride the Hot Wheels on the driveway. Charis rode around in the stroller watching - despite being all bundled up, all of her extremities were frozen and her nose was "Rudolph Red." But she never complained and loved watching her brother play....and was fascinated by the lawnmower.

Cayman and I then left to go eat dinner with Graysan, Kathy, and Aunt Gerry. Cayman and Graysan had a blast together and were so cute snuggling together on the bench at Applebee's. They played with Cayman's airplane, watched ESPN on the TV behind our booth, shared macaroni and cheese, and brushed Graysan's hair (don't ask...) :) They love each other so much, and it is so cute! It was fun catching up with my sweet Aunt Gerry!

On the way home, we were stopped at the intersection waiting to turn into my parent's neighborhood, when Cayman says, "Almost!" I said, "Almost what, buddy?" "Almost to Grammy's house!" Seriously?! How does he learn this stuff so quick?! Then he said, "I love Grammy." :) I adore that child...

Did I mention that Charis enjoyed half of one of Molly's dog treats? (Note: She just sucked on it people; once I realized she had it in her mouth, I quickly removed it before anything was ingested!) And Cayman choked on a piece of bacon at breakfast and ended up throwing up all over the floor? Never a dull moment...
