For lunch I met my cousin Daniel at one of my favorite Augusta eateries - Tacosushi! Mmm! So, so good... It's an odd mix of Japanese and Mexican cuisine. I usually don't mix the two - I tend to get two things every time I go. Sushi and fried asparagus. So. Delicious. Daniel talked me into a Crazy Roll today. It's been so long since I've had sushi, and it was good to the very last bite. I pigged out. Two men sat down beside of us and asked what we were eating. Daniel was kind enough to share two pieces of his roll with them. I am not going to lie. I was stingy. I did not follow suit! How horrible! But it was just so good! (Lord, please forgive me for my selfishness!) Great food. Even better conversation with my encouraging cousin. :)
Following lunch, I went to another cousin's office and met to discuss some things with him. Ian and I have been talking about financially planning for our future - retirement, college, etc. So Ashton agreed to talk to me and kind of advise us on a plan of action. Today was more of a basic, informative meeting, but man was it helpful! We know what our next step should be, we know what options we have for investing/retirement/college savings, and we're looking forward to taking those steps when we're ready. I could not believe it when I walked out of his office and saw that it was 5pm! We talked for around 2 1/2 hours! He was very gracious with his time.
I ran home to see the kids for a little while, and then I was off to my next "appointment." One of my best friends, Joy, invited me to eat supper with her and to do some wedding planning! It was great catching up with her, and what girl can pass up a little wedding planning?! I'm so excited about being in her wedding this September. We had so much fun tonight that we've already planned another "date" for Wednesday night!
