Busy day for us today!
We started out at the park with Graysan and Kathy. We were a little worried that it was going to be a little cool, but it turned out to be a gorgeous morning! The kids had a blast together. We took pictures (despite the lack of them on this blog tonight. The kids other g-mas are going to hate me! The camera is in the car, and I was too lazy tonight to go dig it out.) We ate snacks. We played and played! It was fun. Then we ate out at a non-Floridian restaurant...Zaxby's! I LOVE Zaxby's and was so bummed to learn there was not one anywhere near us in FL. So I had to get my fix today. (Traitor. I know.)
After lunch, we rushed home...I ran inside to shave my legs...hey, you ladies all know you hate it when you get to the doctor's office where you know you're going to be in a gown of some kind and you realize you've forgotten to shave your legs! And then I was off to meet/see Dr. Parfenchuk. Apparently, Dr. Parfenchuk (can you tell I'm fascinated by his name?) assisted my orthopedic surgeon with my scoliosis surgery back in '96. I, obviously, do not remember meeting him that day. Anyways. Dr. Parfenchuk insisted I have x-rays, considering I have not had any of my spine since 1999. The x-rays looked great - I still have about a 20% curvature of the spine, which is MUCH better than the 50-60% it had gotten to prior to my surgery. I did no major damage to my neck during my flipping incident. But he did "prescribe" or recommend, I guess, that once I get back down to Florida, I find a physical therapist. He said that I'm going to be the type of woman that NEEDS to work out in the gym regularly in order to keep the muscles in my back and neck strong because my muscles don't get stretched and moved as much as the average person's. (Since the entire mid-section of my back and spine are immobile due to the rods/screws/hooks fused to my spine. Weird, huh?) I wish that I had known this years ago so that I could have begun a workout regimen back when I was young and active and athletic... *Sigh.* Now I'll have to start from scratch. Oh well. Better to get active/fit/limber now then pay for it 25 years from now when I'm suffering from horrible arthritis and in constant pain!

The rest of the night was spent with my sweet family...eating supper and playing games on the Wii! Graysan beat me bad at sword-fighting...but I got her back in basketball! :)
Ahh, sweet memories are made of this! Hey I'll go to the car today and get your camera for you, ok?
