Cayman went to church wearing his bathing suit...and whenever he wears his bathing suit now, he thinks he has to have his goggles! So all during supper, there sat my son, in his bathing suit and goggles. He was so excited when I told him it was time for the slip-n-slide...even though he had no idea what a slip-n-slide was! :)
It only took him one time of watching the older boys do it before he mastered it! He LOVED it. What he didn't love however, was when the older kids decided to slide down the big metal slide on the playground with the water hose. The first one went flying off the end of the slide, and landed right on her heiney on the floor! "Ohh! That hurt my butt! I want to do it again!!!" Crazy kids. My brave son will do anything at least once! We took the hose off the slide when it was his turn, so he didn't go AS fast. But boy did he fly! And he goes down slides on his tummy (still feet first), so instead of landing on his heiney, he landed RIGHT on his belly/face. Poor guy. And he still had his goggles on. Call me crazy, but I'm not afraid of letting my boy experience stuff. Now he knows that maybe it's not the best idea for him to go down a big metal twisty slide when it's saturated by water! :)
Anyways. Here's the video of a much happier experience on the slip-n-slide!
