Surprise!

Guess who came for a spontaneous visit?!

Grammy and Big Al!


I'm not sure how long they're staying (Monday or Tuesday, maybe?) but they drove up this afternoon. We were on a walk when they got here, they called my phone to see where we were (I was the only one in on the surprise) because they were in our driveway...I told everyone we needed to head back home because there was someone waiting to see us in our driveway. Ian thought it was the Tate's. When we rounded the corner and heard Grammy whistle, they knew who it was! Cayman watched for a minute, then he finally figured it out. "It's Grammy!" They ran to each other in the road. (Pretty sure Grammy was crying...) and Cayman was just-a giggling! Charis was a little hesitant....until she saw Big Al. She went right to him -- she loves her Big Al! Once we got back to the house, Charis finally realized who Grammy was and wanted to be held by Grammy.

Cayman showed off his rocket ship room right away, and then took them on a tour of the rest of the house. Then we gave them a tour of our "metropolis". It took about 5 minutes. :) Nah - we took them to the store and walked the perimeter (sidewalk/cement all the way around now!), checking out all the tile they installed this week, and then we drove around the city a little.

Happy to be in NC...... :)

We're planning a day trip to the OBX (Kitty Hawk again, probably) and who knows what all else!

I'm so glad they're here! Our first visitors in our new home! :)
