We're in Raleigh at Kyle and Jenn's house.
Irene is currently on track to pass right near Elizabeth City.
I'm struggling with worrying constantly over this storm. Trying to remind myself that God is fully capable of calming the storm, protecting Elizabeth City and our house and our restaurant and our belongings from Irene's path. I've had to restrict myself from watching the news and reading Facebook all day to keep from focusing on it all day long.
Praying for the storm to weaken.
Praying for the protection of our belongings.
Praying for no damage to our Chick-fil-A.
Praying for the protection of everyone in its path - those who decided to truly ride it out.
Praying for VERY minimal flooding.
Praying for sleep and rest tonight!
Thankful for a great group of friends who a)willingly open their home to us - no questions asked and b)play bananagrams and eat pizza with you late into the night to keep you from focusing on the natural disaster at hand!
Thankful that Irene has shown some signs of weakening before she's made landfall.
