Flooding in the Area

I believe the next few pictures are in Williamston, NC.

We saw many, many trees down along NC-17.

The minor damage to the store

The name of this street is Water St. Fitting for this particular day.
This was taken in downtown Elizabeth City.

Part of the Pasquotank River that definitely overflowed its banks.

I know you can't tell, but the water is WHEELY high (as Cayman
would say.)

We didn't attempt to drive through this.

Our friends live on this street. We couldn't turn
to get to their house.

Ian cut through a yard to turn the corner and go check on our friend's
home, since they were in Jamaica, safe and sound, all weekend.
Their house was fine too.
Overall, Elizabeth City truly experienced very minimal damage during the hurricane! For that, we could not be more thankful. Thank you all for praying for our safety and for protection for our new city and home.
