Fun with Friends

I received an email from our friend Sheena last night asking if I could watch her son Noakea this afternoon. They are driving to NH over night, and she was hoping to get some rest this afternoon. Of course I said I would watch him. When he got here, he wanted me to read him books. We read through quite a few of our library books we got this morning when we went for preschool time. Cayman never fell asleep during naptime today, so I got him out of bed early so he could play with Noakea. They played with playdoh, we played a game called Cootie, they went outside to play baseball (but quickly came back in...I guess it was too bright/hot out there!) Of course after playing outside, they needed a snack! So they watched some Nick, Jr. while eating graham cracker/frosting sandwiches. Mmm!

Soon after Noakea left, the Tate boys came over! Since Ian and I got to go out on a date last night, tonight was Andrew and Annette's turn. They drove up to Chesapeake for dinner and a movie. While they were there, we played outside, ate a yummy pasta bake for supper, went to the park, came home to shower and get in our PJs, and then ate chocolate chip cookies while watching a movie! Charis lasted for a little while, but she quickly tuckered out. Cayman finally asked me if he could go lay on his pillow in his bed (instead of in the living room) because he was ready for bed! He lasted a long time though considering he took no nap! We had so much fun tonight! All five kids play so well together. Even Charis fits right in with them. But I do think the Tate boys are a little overwhelmed around her sometimes. "How can the smallest kid make the most noise?" "Why does she scream so loud?" "Is she always this loud?" :) That's my girl.......

The boys were fascinated with Ian's foot massager.

Enjoying yummy cookies!

Aiden decided that they needed to borrow Ian's massager
before all of their football games so they'd be able to run
super fast! After showers, Aiden was trying to persuade Isaiah
that it was his turn to use the massager: "But my feet are all
wrinkly! I need a turn to massage my feet!" :)

Thanks for sharing your children with us today! We had a blast and can't wait until next time!!
