The day before the hurricane, we did our first science/nature lesson during home school. We went to one of our favorite playgrounds with a scavenger hunt and crayons in hand! I found these scavenger hunts online, and they were perfect for preschoolers. It was a picture scavenger hunt instead of ones with words only. When they found one of the items on the sheet, they colored it, or as Cayman chose, put a cross through it (he chose a cross instead of an X). My whole goal in doing a scavenger hunt was so that I would have to walk the trails around the playground/soccer fields to try to get labor going. But the kids colored like three pictures and then decided they needed the playground instead. So my plan didn't really go as planned. But we had fun anyways! And did our first scavenger hunt!! :)
