I did it!

Well, I did it!

I survived!

Today, my parents left. Then I took Callie to her appointment. Then Ian left for work. Which meant I WAS ALONE. With my three children! Eek!

Which also meant that I wasn't going to attempt making supper for everyone. (And I didn't want to have turkey/ham again...) So, I decided we'd go out to our favorite restaurant! (Chick-fil-A, of course!)

I told Ian we'd be there around 5. Everyone was dressed and ready to go at 4:47. Then I tried to put Callie's hat on her head while she was still in her car seat. But of course, since she's exactly like Cayman, I'm discovering, something about being in the car seat triggered her gag reflex. So she started puking everywhere. Which of course meant I had to unbuckle her, get her out of the seat, go upstairs for a clean outfit, change her, clean up the spit-up off the floor (ok, actually my sweet baby boy did that part for me while I was changing her outfit), then buckle her back in the seat, and finally head out the door! But hey, we made it to Chick-fil-A by 5:15. (Please say that last sentence in your very best "Uncle Si" impression...what's that you say? You don't know who Uncle Si is? Please do yourself a favor and watch one episode of "Duck Dynasty.") Only 15 minutes late! Not too shabby!

We enjoyed a yummy dinner (with Daddy - woohoo!), the kids got to go play, Callie slept the entire time and was admired by our team members and some of our "usuals," and we had a wonderful time! After Chick-fil-A, we headed to the grocery store!! (Do what!?!) I only had to get a few things, so we made it short and sweet. Well, after we had to sit in the van for about 20 minutes for Callie's feeding and diaper change. And maybe, just maybe, the kids were bribed with a special cookie if they were on their best behavior. (I ain't too proud to beg!) Let's just say that if I offer to give out sweets and only go grocery shopping for 5 items at a time, I will most definitely be able to grocery shop by myself with all three kids! Go me! And in case you're wondering, Mommy got a special treat for all her hard work too...her favorite specialty drink of all time: Double Chocolately Chip! Mmm!
