The Fresh Beat Band

MONTHS ago, we bought tickets to take Cayman to see The Fresh Beat Band - a show that comes on Nickelodeon. We drove past a coliseum in VA a LONG time ago, and I read on the board that the Fresh Beat Band was going to be in concert coming up. I mentioned it to him that day, and he talked about it for at least the next two months. But of course the tickets were sold out. I found out that they sell out very quickly! So when I saw on Facebook that one of my best friends and her family were going to see the Fresh Beat Band in concert in Augusta, I quickly asked her about the tickets, and we bought ours about three hours after she did. It turned out that we were sitting in the same section on the exact same row in consecutive seats! Section 1, Row K, seats 3-9. How crazy! So today, we met up beforehand for supper so our usually shy kids could meet each other and get used to each other to hopefully have fun together at the concert. Cayman was even more shy than he usually is, but after M&Ms and diet coke in the beginning of the concert, he was ready to go. Even busted out some of his crazy moves during the intermission.

Twist came down to say hello - Cayman was playing with
his glow stick to try to show it to Twist the entire time he stood
there in front of him.

Motsy and me :)

The last time the four of us took a picture together, we were
unmarried, living in Wake Forest! Oh how times have changed!
By far, the funniest moment of the evening was captured in the following video.

In case you couldn't hear him, here is the story. We kept the concert a surprise from him until we got out of the car in front of the auditorium. We videotaped his reaction, mainly because there is no telling how he will respond to certain situations.

Basically, after I hand Cayman the ticket, tell him where we're going, and then ask if he can believe it, he says, "Then where are we going?" hahah!!! Oh well, we were excited to be there, even if he wasn't! :)
