Hurricane Day

Hurricane Sandy passed by us (or is passing by us) today. Our church cancelled services. Ian obviously didn't have to go to work. So we stayed inside all day long. We did open the front door a few times to feel the wind and rescue the cushions from our chairs. And once we opened the windows upstairs in our bedroom, and the kids enjoyed pretending the wind was blowing them down. Thankfully, we didn't receive as much rain as they expected. The wind was pretty bad, and it may have loosened some shingles on the roof causing a leak in the closet in our bedroom.

Just for the record. I am officially tired of pre-labor and false contractions. Hate it with a passion. Gets my hopes up every time! Ugh!

Charis got her nails painted by her Daddy!
Technically not painted during our hurricane day...
But one of the cutest pictures ever... :)

Unfortunately we found a leak in our closet
during the storm. Thankfully we had some great
helpers to take care of it.

We also got the car seat out of the box, ready
to be put in the car to head to the hospital.
Mommy has been in some discomfort and
have sporadic contractions. So we're all ready,
with our  pretend Baby C too!
