I have been hinting around at something in recent blog posts - I wanted to wait until everything was official before I wrote anything about it. Well, IT'S OFFICIAL! We have bought our first home - ever! And we couldn't be happier!! We started looking for houses quite a few months ago, and we just never found exactly what we were looking for. We finally thought we found our dream house, and while it was absolutely gorgeous and huge, it was just a little more money than we thought the house was worth. So we passed and trusted that the Lord had something else for us in mind. Less than two weeks later, another family contacted us to see if we would be interested in coming to look at their home. They wanted to sell but didn't want to list it on the market just yet. So we took a look at it and LOVED IT! It was a little smaller than the previous house but would still fit our growing family perfectly. The lot is large so it will allow for future growth if we'd like. And it's in our preferred neighborhood minutes from the store! Today was our 2nd closing date (we were unable to close the first go around but thankfully everything went over without a hitch this time!) We are so, so thankful for God's goodness during this season in our lives - and while at times it was tiring and frustrating, yet again, He has proven himself faithful to our family!

Ian and I are a little unsure as to how many photos we want to post of the outside of the house. We may decide later on that it's no big deal how many photos I post on the blog, but we have realized that we don't have too much anonymity living in a small town, while driving a "cow car." Sooo... If we can stay hidden a little longer, I think we'll try!! But I'm sure there will be lots of pictures of the interior once we have decorated some! :) |
