Following the hot, fun, LATE Braves game (on my actual birthday, but in celebration of Cayman's birthday - and yes, he told everyone that asked him that very statement "We are going to the Braves game on my mommy's birthday, but we are celebrating MY birthday.") my generous, sweet, hospitable, brother and SIL, who live in Cumming, about 40 minutes from the stadium, invited ALL of us to their house to spend the night! Scott and Christine were the only ones who didn't join in on the spend the night party. So. That means that Me, Ian, Cayman, Charis, Kathy, Clark, Graysan, Mom (Grammy), Dad (Big Al), Jason, Allison, Garrett, Harper, Scout, and Yoda (family dogs) all slept together in their three bedroom, two and a half bathroom house. Allison is our family organization guru, so she had fun planning it - at least I hope it was truly fun and not a huge hassle! Let me break down the sleeping arrangements for all you curious readers -- our family was in Garrett's room - Cayman on the top bunk, Me and Ian on the bottom bunk (double/full mattress), Charis in the pack-in-play at the foot of our bed. Clark and Kathy slept in Harper's room (two twin beds). Jason and Allison slept in their room with two of the remaining three kids on a queen blow up mattress and the final child on a single blow up mattress. And somewhere in that room, the dogs slept as well. (Graysan said she woke up in the night to hear Scout panting somewhere near her in the room!) :) Mom and Dad slept on a blow up mattress downstairs in the office. Everyone slept soundly since no one got in bed earlier than 12:30! The next morning, we woke up at various times, and we had planned to go spend the day at their neighborhood pool. Unfortunately it was cloudy and rained off-and-on the entire day. But at 11am, we realized that all the kids had so much energy from all being together, that there was no way we could all act civilized toward each other if we stayed in the house all day. :) So I told all the kids to go get their suits on, and even if I were the only adult going, we were going to go swimming, rain or shine! I am SO GLAD we went! We had the entire pool to ourselves (DUH! It was cloudy and rained the whole time) and had so much fun together. All the daddies ended up going with us, and we raced like we were in the olympics (great exercise for this pregnant momma's feet and legs after the heat and walking at the game the night before! Ian was embarrassed because I almost beat him at 6 months pregnant! haha!) The only reason we left the pool was because we all started to get really hungry. We headed back home for lunch and Cayman's celebration - part 2! Allison made me and Cayman yummy cupcakes which we all devoured after lunch. And Cayman got to open some presents in front of everyone (ok...maybe his mama did too!!) Soon after, we (the Moody's with Grammy and Big Al in one vehicle and Clark, Kathy and Graysan in their vehicle) packed up to head back to Augusta. It was such a fun way to spend time with everyone. I'm so thankful Jason and Allison were willing to let us all crash at their house - we love spending time together and rarely do we all get to be together like that!
