Cayman's Celebration - Part 3 (Yes, the FINAL one...)

Good grief - this child got so many celebrations this year! I promise, he asked me a million times, "Why am I still four??" because he celebrated so many different times and thought that he could keep getting older as he celebrated! :) I can't wait til he has a concept of time!! (Hopefully by the end of this school year??!?)

Anyways - once we left Atlanta/Cumming, we drove to Augusta, packed up all the kids' stuff (they had been staying with Grammy and Big Al since July 13th!) and headed back to EC on Sunday. We made a pit stop in Raleigh to see Kyle, Jenn, and Sadie, and of course had A BLAST but took not one single picture!! We finally made it home around 10 or so that night, and we crashed in our OWN beds.

Tuesday night, I made plans to have some close friends meet us at CFA for a small, FINAL, celebration of Cayman's birthday. We had discussed having a cookout here at our house, but our house is an utter disaster at the moment (more on that in a later post...prayerfully Monday or Tuesday!!!!!!!) so I decided to take the easy route and have someone else do all the cooking and cleaning!

Cayman had no idea who all was coming to his party - all I told him was that we were meeting some friends at CFA to celebrate his birthday one last time. Do you know how surprised and excited both Cayman and Charis were to see Isaiah (I-yay-o as Charis still calls him...or Garrett since she had just spent so much time with Garrett and the two boys are around the same age/height), Aiden and Ridge come walking across the parking lot! Charis yelled at the window, "MY WRENDS!!!" (F's sound like W's.....) And then they went running across the restaurant to meet them at the door. Everyone received massive hugs. It was such a sweet reunion! Love, love, love the Tates!!

Cayman's other buddy Noakea, and Charis' little buddy, Banyan, also came, along with their mommy and daddy, Mr. Austin and Ms. Sheena. And finally, Ms. Meagan and Mr. Kyle also met us there to join in the celebrating. I was so shocked when I looked at the clock and realized it was 8:30, and we were all still sitting around the table having a good ol' time! (We met at 5:30!) So for Cayman's final celebration, we had the most wonderful time spending time with good friends we have made since we moved here a little over a year ago. I am so, so thankful for these families (and many others!!) that the Lord placed in our lives, and I can't wait to continue doing life with them!!

Excuse the chicken nugget in his mouth -
I just couldn't resist this picture of my
firstborn!!

Please do yourself a favor and find the recipe on pinterest
for this chocolate peanut butter eclair!!! Soo yummy!

The child cannot blow out candles to save his life....

Banyan's "squishy face" as Sheena likes to call it. :)

Yep. She still loves him!

Sweet friends!!!
