Recently we have had two sweet families come to visit us. We enjoyed each visit tremendously!
First, Jamie and Emory came for the weekend. We met Jamie and her husband Reid a few years ago when Reid and Ian worked together at one of the Chick-fil-As in Raleigh (I'm having trouble remembering if it was before Cayman was born or right after...) Reid has just started training with Chick-fil-A to become an Interim Manager like Ian used to be. So Jamie and their son Emory came to visit us to pass some of the time they're apart from Reid. We had a blast! Emory is in between Charis and Cayman's age, and they all played so well together. We took them all around town (it took about 15 minutes, haha!) and did all kinds of fun stuff. Jamie and I got some good quality time together because unfortunately Ian had to work quite a bit that weekend. So we chatted about Chick-fil-A, the IM program, being pregnant (she's nearing the end of her 2nd pregnancy), motherhood, etc. etc. I am so glad they got to come, and I can hardly wait to see where the Lord sends them as they start their journey with Chick-fil-A!

Of course we took them to Berrilicious :)
And we ended our time together with a movie night
This past weekend, another family came to spend the night with us. We have known the Burke's for 6 years now - basically as long as Ian and I have been married! Ian and BT were in a class together in seminary, and I'm pretty sure they went to play golf that same afternoon! In the years since we met, we have all moved countless times and have added five kids to the mix! BT and Jess recently returned from serving three years as missionaries in Macedonia. It was definitely a fun reunion! Cayman and Charis loved having friends here, and I loved having a full house! We are so glad that they came to visit, and we are even more glad that the Lord safely brought them "home" and that they were able to see God do some amazing things during their time in Macedonia.
Cayman is grinning for two reasons: 1) He was eating monkey bread for breakfast 2) He had his arm around a pretty little girl and mama caught him!
We sold "my" Camry to the Burkes this weekend! It was my car that my dad gave me when I moved to Wake Forest. It has faithfully served us ever since! Now it will faithfully serve the Burkes!
