Trust me. I can't believe it either. But I'm sitting here on my clean couch, looking at my clean living room floor and cleaner dining room table, and I thought, I'm going to blog. Again! Four blogs in two days has got to be a record.

I love this picture of my big girl. She is participating in one of her favorite activities - at least for the next few weeks it will be her favorite. I'm sure she'll find something else soon enough! But she absolutely loves playing with her "bocks." Sometimes her and Cayman play together, but most of the time she likes to go at it alone. This is the activity that keeps her occupied for the longest amount of time. So of course, a part of me wants to purchase blocks every time I go to Walmart...the more the merrier! But I refrain. This is all she needs to keep her happy right now.

Last week we received our pre-qualification letter from a bank, and we can officially start looking at houses here in Elizabeth City. We are so excited, but I'm not gonna lie - I'm a bit nervous as well! There is so much to consider when purchasing a house, especially in today's housing market. And we're hoping that a realtor will have a lot more to show us than the houses we've seen online. We haven't crossed new construction off the list yet, but I'm not sure that this would be the best time in our lives to tackle such a huge project. We are hoping to find something by August since that is when our lease is up.

We're so excited about so many upcoming events at the restaurant. A local high school chose us for their prom's catering this weekend. We're also doing a Relay for Life event this weekend where we'll get to raise money for a good cause. Mother Son Date Knight is this month, as well as the Potato Festival (a HUGE Elizabeth City annual event...we'll be selling chicken but no potato fries...), and at the end of the month we'll have a special evening honoring area Foster Care families. We will be collecting travel sized toiletry items at the store all month long too to give to the Foster Care families.

Cayman has told us that he wants to go to a Braves game for his birthday this summer. Most times we drive past the high school stadium near our house, he says "The Braves! The Braves!" He is so funny. Last year's Braves' game really left an impression on him!
I bet you're sorry you read all the way to the end of this boring post, huh?

No, not bored at all. Happy! Keep it coming, and CONGRATS on the pre-approval for a house. Exciting stuff!!! When is Grammy coming to town?
