A Cayman First

Last week we all went up to Chesapeake for our family dentist appointment. Charis is still a little too young to be seen, but Cayman got to see the dentist and have his teeth cleaned for the first time. I had absolutely no idea what to expect from him, and on the way I realized we had left Boo at home. But, just as usual, my baby boy surprised me and did absolutely fine at the dentist - like he had been going his entire life! The hygenist and I had to keep reminding him to open his mouth real wide (he was distracted by the cartoons on TV) and he never would release his bite on the sucker tube they put in your mouth. For some reason he chomped down on it every time and we really had to work on him to let it go for some reason! The dentist said his teeth look great, that it will soon be time to stop sucking his fingers, he has a little bit of a crossbite that most likely will fix itself, and there will probably be braces in his future due to his gap. :) The piece of skin that attaches the upper lip to the gum comes down a little low, but they didn't act like it would need to be clipped anytime soon, so hopefully that won't cause any issues in the future. So proud of my big boy! He's growing up way too quickly though!
