We had such a great turn out for our special Foster Care Appreciation Night. Our good friend Sheena offered to take pictures of the families for the event. (Thanks, Sheena!!) As a small token of our appreciation for what each family has done to help our community, we purchased picture frames from a local store. Then using my beloved Pages program on my macbook, I created my own personalized mats for each frame. Each family loved getting a family photo in a special frame. We will continue to do this at some of our bigger events! It would be very easy for you to do at home! If you'd like my template or instructions, please let me know.
We also had quite a big response to our giveaway this month! We collected so many travel-sized toiletry items to give to foster families. We were told that these items are very useful for the foster families to have on hand whenever a new child arrives in their home because sometimes the children come with the clothes on their back and maybe a small bag of items. We were happy that the community stepped up to give back!
