Christmas #3 - Augusta!

Callie made her first Augusta trip on the Thursday before Christmas. We left around 8pm and arrived in Augusta around 3am. It was definitely a long night for mommy and daddy, but the kids did so well on the trip! Callie slept the whole way, other than the two times I had to nurse. Cayman and Charis watched a movie while eating some popcorn, and then eventually they both fell asleep. Thankfully, mom and dad let us sleep in Friday morning - we slept til 11! Then Ian and I went out on a date, which has become our custom whenever we are in Augusta or Charlotte with family for an extended period of time. :) We went to Target and scored major deals on Christmas decorations marked down already. Our dining room is decorated beautifully, and we are ready to host a winter holiday party. :)

Friday night, Callie got to meet Uncle Jason, Aunt Allison, Harper and Garrett for the first time! (Do I have any pictures of Harper or Garrett holding Callie?? Why, of course I don't!) :( Cayman and Charis were thrilled to see their big cousins, and they picked up playing together right where they had left off the last time. They all got along much better this time than last. Which really means, my kids didn't whine or get their feelings hurt as much as last time. 

Then on Saturday, we all met the rest of the family (only 52 family members this year...) at Aunt Judy's house for the Corry Christmas Eve get-together. This would include my mom and all her siblings and all of their families. Not everyone was able to attend this year. But we all have such a great time whenever we're together! And thankfully, there is plenty of room outside for the younger kids (all 2nd cousins) to run around and play. We do a gift exchange, but the best part of the day is all the time we get to spend together, catching up and loving on all the new babies. :)
