Sweet Little (Booger) Charis

Our daughter is very cute. And she has a wide vocabulary which makes her even cuter. But, I have discovered that she is also very sneaky. I bite my tongue many times during the day to keep from laughing when she's trying to persuade me with that vocabulary that she needs to do something "just one more time" or "let me do this first." Sometimes it can be quite annoying however because she does have a mind of her own; she knows exactly what she wants to do. Most of the time she defies us or disobeys us because she wants to finish what she's doing first! Little booger.

Just now, I heard her making noises in her bedroom when she's supposed to be sleeping. I opened the door to her room and found her walking around in the dark near her bed. I said, "Charis Parker Moody," in my firmest mommy voice. She dropped whatever it was she was holding, and silently walked back to her bed and climbed in. "I just reading Mommy." And there in her bed was a pile full of her books. (She's just like me when it comes to books!!!) She handed me a book and said, "1. 2. 3. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9," as she handed me all the books in her bed. And yes, she skipped #4 just like Cayman used to do when he counted! I wanted to be upset for breaking our "no getting out of bed rule" but I just couldn't! She's too stinkin' cute.
