Saturday we went to one of my aunt's house for a big family get together. Not everyone was able to attend - but I believe we still had a good 40-50 people there. (The estimate may be a little off...I didn't do a headcount.) We were technically getting together to celebrate the fourth of July. But we waited a little longer to celebrate so that my late Papa's sister could make the trip down to GA from NJ to visit with us. She tries to come every year, and one of her daughters drives her down. Aunt Nell will be 92 this year. She's such a trooper to get together with our crazy bunch!
Cayman and Charis stayed in the pool the entire time we were there. They took a short break for lunch, but Cayman was quickly begging to get right back in! They had so much fun, and Cayman was super brave and just went right up to the diving board and jumped right in! (Wearing floaties of course) Neither one of them seem to have any fear around the water anymore. While we are here in Augusta, Mom and I plan on taking all the kids up to their place at the lake. I'm sure we'll have our work cut out for us watching all four kids swimming! (My niece and nephew will be staying at Grammy's house for the next couple of weeks along with Cayman and Charis. She's brave. Very brave.)
My camera was about to die yesterday, but I was able to snap some shots while the kids were swimming around. I wish I could have taken more of the family. Maybe next year! :)
