Happy Birthday, Sweet Hubby!

I can't believe I forgot to write this last night! Oops!

Ian is 32!
Where has the time gone? ;)

I love this man!

I will spare you all the mushy gushy details of my great love for this man so that I will never be blamed for you throwing up all over your keyboard/laptop. But let me just tell you...
I LOVE THIS MAN.
Sometimes I think about how my life would be so drastically different without Ian in my life. It is not fun to think about. I love every minute I get to spend with him, and I cherish the relationship we have with one another. It breaks our hearts to hear about struggling marriages because God has blessed us so much in that department. We work so well as a team, and we are so thankful for the strengths and yes, even the weaknesses of the other because it gives us an opportunity to show God's grace that He has so freely bestowed upon us.
In addition to being a fantastic husband, my man is the world's best daddy! I can't tell you how many times he comes home from work absolutely beat. But as soon as he walks through the door and hears Cayman and Charis squealing in delight, he switches to Super Man, forgets the worries of the day, and enjoys loving on his sweet babies. I greatly admire the fact that he's able to leave work at work and be with his family once he gets home.
Here is a recent interview with Cayman:
Me: Cayman, what's your favorite thing about Daddy?
Cayman: All of it.
M: But what is your favorite thing to do with Daddy?
C: All of it.
M: But isn't there something that Daddy does with you that you love?
C: All of it.
And one with Charis:
Me: Charis, what do you love the most about Daddy?
Copycat: Um. Um. All of it!
So there you have it. There's not just one thing that our kids love about their daddy. They love every bit of him! Just like their mama!
Ian is far from perfect - he makes mistakes just like the rest of us. But he is perfect for us. And we love having him around. And we miss him when he's away. We are so thankful for how he leads us in every aspect of our lives.
Ian, I love you so much and I'm so thankful for each day I get to spend with you. Thank you for always being there for us, for always loving us, for working so hard to provide for us and support us, and for always striving to be more like Christ. We love you so much!
