Easter Sunday

We had a great day celebrating the resurrection of our risen Savior this past Sunday - we hope you did too!

We went to church, we picked up some lunch on the way home, we watched the final round of the Masters while others of us napped (won't mention any names!), and then after nap, while our Easter dinner was cooking, we went outside for the festivities! The kids received their Easter baskets (which I will admit were not nearly as extravagant as other kids received - but that's not what we want Easter to be about) and then Ian went outside to hide all the Easter eggs. Last year's Easter egg hunt was a big fat disaster, so this year's was much more fun. They even got the concept about shaking the eggs to see if there was anything inside of it. In fact, sneaky Cayman was going around the yard shaking eggs and throwing them back down on the grass for Charis to pick up if the egg was empty! (Ian figured out what he was doing though, and he told Cayman that he had to pick up all the eggs and leave some of the goodies for Charis.) :) Of course we had to take lots of pictures as well. We borrowed our next door neighbor's yard because they have a nicer backyard than us! :) I don't think that I would have bought the outfit for Charis that she wore - it was a Christmas gift from an employee at Chick-fil-A. But once I saw it on her, I loved it! Definitely not your everyday outfit. Can't think of another event that she'll get to wear it for. But it was cute on Easter, and all the older ladies at church LOVED it. In fact, a lady walked past the nursery door and saw Charis, and she said, "Well aren't you adorable?" And Charis said, "Yes." Haha!! She even kept the hat on the whole time (and asked for it whenever it fell off.) Cayman wore his tie, but he was happy when it was time for it to come off. That boy loves to be comfy - he would stay in his PJs all day long if I'd let him. Gee, I wonder who he gets that from?! Definitely NOT his Daddy....

Anyways. Enjoy the pictures from our day!

Charis was all up in the way, but I LOVE Cayman's face in this pic!

Smooches for Mommy!

She just plopped down in the grass when she found an egg
with jelly beans in it! :)

Me and my love

We told them to hold hands... I guess they obeyed. Not really
the look we were going for though...haha!

Showing off all the goods in her mouth...

Happy Easter!
