Knock, Knock!

Who's there? UNCLE KYLE, AUNT JENN JENN, AND SADIE LADY! (By the way - you have to add "lady" to Sadie's name almost every time you say it, according to Cayman.)

Some of our best friends came to spend the weekend with us and we had a blast!! We love being closer to them and our other friends in the Raleigh area. We always have so much fun together. It definitely made me miss only being 15 minutes away from them! BUT...three hours is much closer than twelve hours! We made the most of our time together (and our time with Ian - he obviously had to work some while they were in town, but he was able to spend time with us too, so it all worked out well!)

Good morning, everyone!
It took them forever to realize that Uncle Kyle/Daddy was
bundled under the covers and pillows (that living room was
so bright and Cayman's bed is not big enough for two adults and
a one year old!)

He was so good, playing with all the munchkins
while Jenn and I got ready for the day!

Sweet Sadie :)

Of course we had to go visit Ian at Chick-fil-A.
This was after I was called by Ian to see if I could
go pick up change at the bank. I waited in line
for ONE HOUR while Jenn and Kyle played
with the kids at home.

Saturday night we drove out to Kill Devil Hills for some
seafood. We went to Awful Arthur's - our new go-to
special seafood joint. While we waited on our table, we walked
to their beach store. Everyone but Charis and me walked out to
the beach. Cayman discovered a "special place" - "wheely cool" arcade!

Me and my honey

The whole group :)

Walking to the "special place" after supper

Cayman being sad and marching off once he
realized the "special place" had closed during dinner!
Enjoying a donut in the van to make up for the
special place being closed... It worked!

We also introduced them to Berri-licious! We went Friday
night after they got here, and Sunday night before we left!
Charis likes to eat ice cream...frozen yogurt...
 (and everything) with her hands.

Sadie just liked to eat it!

And Cayman did too!

Ok, ok...Maybe EVERYONE likes Berri-licious!

This is how Charis dressed to go to Berri-licious.
The girl loves some accessories, especially
boots and necklaces. :) She is just like her daddy.
Oops! I mean, mommy! ;)
