What's that, Mr. Operator?

"Oh. You know - just the normal stuff you receive in the mail everyday....just the blueprints for my BRAND NEW CHICK-FIL-A!"

This is what Ian said (ok, maybe I added some words to his mouth) yesterday when he received the blueprints for HIS store in the mail. (Geez, can you tell we're just a little bit excited here!?!?)

Ian is so excited about some of the features his store will have, like a double drive-thru and the video feature (where you can see the person who's taking your order in the drive thru line).

Here are some pictures that I took of Ian showing the kids the blueprints. Of course they had no idea what they were looking at - but they sure acted like they did! Cayman did grasp the concept of the drive thru... "You drive around and around and around and around..." he said, while driving his fingers around the picture.

This morning I received a Facebook message from a woman that lives in Elizabeth City. She wanted us to know how excited she was that Chick-fil-A was coming to EC. We've never met her, but she put two and two together when she saw all the posts between us and our mutual friends Annette and Andrew that are from the church in EC. Annette just told me that they just broke ground on our store on Monday! How exciting... We can hardly wait to move there and get settled in and actually be able to see our store like everyone else! But in the meantime... Here is what we've been doing!

...packing, packing, and more packing! With a little celebrating in between. Oh, and also getting the AC fixed in the house... It's been 80 degrees in here since 5pm yesterday. :(
Supposedly they'll be here "soon."
